I opened my eyes, and bright yellow light poured into my sight before my surroundings came into focus…I heard not the buzzing of insects, the gentle whisper of the wind, nor the chattering cries of wildlife….
A trudging man wants to visit his town,
And upon his face is a furrowed frown.
He looks to the mountain so far ahead,
He slouches and sighs and slaps his head….
In the distance, the armies of Traegan and the Demons clashed. Blinding flashes lit the horizon as each side launched fatal releases of Energy at one another….
Under sky fly the clouds
And under clouds falls a drop,
Sinking deep into Earth
Until she wills for it to stop…
Ten years I’ve lived in this house of mine,
Annually watching the cold decline,
Observing spring’s pervading green,
And meeting again a bird benign…
